Warning: Spoilers
Season 6 Episode 15 Review - The Big Switch Aired 1-10-57 Not a bad episode with excellent acting and a pleasant ending to a sad story for starters. Friday, Smith are working the day-watch out of Homicide Division, a call came in about a girl trying to kill herself. The officers chase down the reason for the illegal and almost fatal behavior.

First a check with the person finding the victim reveals from the crime lab heroin usage from a capsule found under the bed where the lady almost killed herself. Next the mother is interviewed finding the relationship was strained at best between mother and step daughter. The boyfriend from college was rejected in favor of a dope pusher lover. The coworker tells a story of the relationships among the men and the victim. The landlady shows the officers an empty room where the former beau left town. Once the girl comes out of her coma and is able to talk to Friday, Smith, she is rude, but finally admits to her many mistakes, and is willing to bring the pusher to justice.

Well done by all actors as the episode is pulled off as perfectly told, the victim put on probation, the pusher sent to Q.

Why try suicide?
planktonrules10 August 2019
A young woman was found nearly dead in her hotel room. It appears that she deliberately turned on the gas in an attempt to kill herself. She's in a deep coma and Friday and Smith are working to verify that it was indeed an attempted suicide and, if this the case, what events led to such a permanent solution.

This is a pretty standard episode with few surprises. This means it's still watchable but certainly not memorable.
