Roscoe is following just a few yards behind the Dukes in the opening scene, yet no police car is visible through the rear window of the General Lee in the "front windshield" shots of the Dukes driving and asking each other about why Roscoe might be chasing them.
The General Lee makes a big jump (which can be seen in the opening credits from season 2 onwards). On the left side of the car, a mounted camera can be clearly seen at the bottom of the door, on the passenger's side.
In that "hood shot" when the three General Lees are shown running side by side, in the lower left corner part of the camera mount can be seen.
Enos agrees with Uncle Jesse that he had never heard of the Dukes breaking the law, yet they were notorious for flagrantly bucking the system and had committed many dozens of crimes (non-violent and without malice, admittedly, but still crimes nonetheless) over the years, such as moonshining, theft, speeding/reckless driving, creating massive property damage and conning both himself and Roscoe into repeatedly wrecking their police vehicles during high-speed chases, etc.
