Crossovers rarely work, this one is no different.

Can we not find something for Susan to do in Chicago? Sending her to NY to hang out on another TV show completely throws off the rhythm of the season. Chloe's character is soul grating, completely insufferable, has been the entire run of the series. The writers should have put her in the same car as Carla. The show needed to let the other characters shine a bit, I get that, but this episode is unfocused and all over the place.

It was funny to see how violent the cops were allowed to be on network TV 20 years ago, wouldn't fly in today's environment. Post 9/11 Fire&LEO were rock stars, times have changed.

Brothers and Sisters (#8.19)

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode we get a bad call from Susan's niece who says Chloe can't wake up and she goes on a trip to Chicago to search for them with the police. It was pretty well done and traumatic, but I am sure it will end up well and the girl will be found at her father's.

Pratt is a very bratty doctor, but I kind of like him for it, he brings more fun to the show.

Carter is really going for having a fight with Luka, I have no idea where this is going to.

And sad to hear that Mark started feeling bad in Hawaii, I hope he would still have more time even if off screen to enjoy the last of his life. Romano was pretty awesome. both with his sensitivity towards Elizabeth as well as his funny insensitivity towards Weaver being a lesbian in the beginning of the episode.

Only ER Episode That I Fast-Forward Through
spasek9 April 2022
They just had to rehash the Susan/Chloe story--and worse yet--do a crossover episode that nobody cares about. Certainly not Chloe who was annoying enough in the first couple of seasons. She's like a bad rash that you thought was gone.

Anyway, I fast-forward through the Lewis parts and stick with the ER story. Carter has never been a very good teacher. Not like Benton or Greene. We've seen the students he's had in the past, and how he's treated them. So, how does he handle Pratt and Gallant doing something that Malucci would have done? This episode gives us some insight into Carter's teaching methods...for better or worse.

Pratt is a right prat
polite-456926 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Pratt is a right prat. He is a creep, as show by his behavior toward "Deb." He then denied his privilege by declaring: "Nobody ever gave me anything" (as if he got anywhere without affirmative action).

Gallant, who remained focus during a previous emergency, somehow waffled between different actions instead of using his time to get help that was a few seconds away.

Chloe? Really?
neatmiker13 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Waste of momentum with this crapfest. Had Marks storyline going at full speed and the production team decides to bring back Chloe of all people. Shocker: she's fallen off the wagon, again. Susan rushes to her help, again. Yawn.

Proving that two negatives don't make a positive, screen time abounds for Pratt and Chen, both of which bring bad acting to new lows in every scene they are in. Seriously, I get (not really) the need for minority participants but how hard was it to find those who could act beyond side glance grimmacing and marble mouth ghetto tough guy bravado. I won't even mention the ridiculous type casting for the New York scenes. Pathetic.

We find out through the grapevine that Mark is in Hawaii with Rachel. But not Elizabeth and Ella. Seriously?! No story is given, no shots of them enjoying the islands; it's ridiculous. Granted the next two episodes are almost solely dedicated to the end of his story but why put this snoozer in the episode lineup at this place and time.

The lone highlight is Sherry Stringfueld's Susan.
