This early episode of season one is terrifying and horrific, but it is a good fast pace thought provoking story. For once you see two of the regular characters the hard face ruthless Agent Sandoval and the sophisticated Doctor Julianne Belman, brutally attacked and left in a vulnerable degrading and horrific state.
The character who dominates this episode is the psychopathic James Pike. He has one mission in life to kill a VIP, but fails in the end because Agents Boone and Marqutte stop him at the last minute. For once a television episode has a one-off off guest star who takes centre stage.
This episode is well written and nicely directed. The use of dark lighting is used to powerful effect.
A QUESTION: When Agent Lilly Marqutte finds Doctor Belman tied up and gag. The sophisticated Doctor Julianne Belman has also been brutally attacked, with all her hair shave off, and a tattoo with a bow and arrow on her forehead.
But in the next episode called Old Flame and for the rest of season one, she is back to the sophisticated and independent, high self-esteemed expert on Cyber Viral Implants.
