All scenes with Jamie Lee Curtis were cut from the final episode. Curtis played a lethargic babysitter.
When Dixie and Joe are talking to James McEachin's character Julius on the patio, they are discussing musicians and Jazz in particular. Dr. Early mentions the musicians and what instruments they played, causing Julius to laugh and say "you know a little something about Jazz, don't ya doc?" Bobby Troup knew quite a bit about jazz. He was a jazz musician, who was also a songwriter. One of his compositions was the classic 'Route 66', which was recorded many times, including by Nat "King" Cole and The Rolling Stones.
