When Johnny and Roy are rescuing the boys, Roy is almost at the ladder to the street when Johnny is knocked off his feet by water streaming out of a pipe high up on the wall. As the camera angle changes, Roy put the boy he's carrying on the ladder and goes to Johnny's aid. But the water stream that knocked him down has disappeared, as has the pipe that it came out of.
During the search for the two young boys, radio traffic from one of the other search teams indicates they are in section 551-E. But Gage and deSoto are standing right next to the section marker for 551-E.
When Johnny and Roy come out of Rampart it is raining. Moments later when they are seen in the cab of their squad, there is no rain hitting the windshield.
The water in the sewer is remarkably clean and clear for being what should be dirty sewer water.
The initial shot of the vehicle that has gone off the overpass is reversed as evidenced by the "road construction ahead" sign lettering.
After Roy and John rescue the boys from the sewer, John is shown driving their emergency vehicle, yet he never turns the steering wheel once, and the background behind the vehicle never changes.
Just before Gage and Desoto reach the two boys in the sewer they walk through a large stream of water shooting out from a side vent, getting doused with water. It is clear the stream of water only extended for about half the width of the channel they are in, and they could have easily stepped over a few feet and avoided the water stream. On the return trip., when they are each carrying one of the boys, they again walk through the stream instead of avoiding it. As a result Johnny and the boy he is carrying get knocked down and fall into the rising water of the channel.
