Based on true life inspiration
Show creator Phil Rosenthal and I grew up in the same town in a Rockland County, NY and were friendly acquaintances. He was always a very funny guy to be around. One day our city fathers erected a statue and placed it at a prominent corner of the courthouse grounds. Many were oblivious to the sculpture's resemblance to women's anatomy. When someone finally mentioned it, suddenly you could not unsee it. It still stands, but I'm told it has been turned slightly to less obvious.
