Erskine hangs out at the country club.

This episode of "The F.B.I." begins with a contract killer (Daniel J. Travanti) assassinating someone...and he's seen by a teenage* witness. He escapes but is unable to capture the girl. But she leaves by her high school yearbook...with her name and address in it. So, at any point, this killer or another mob killer can murder her to keep her mouth shut. Fortunately for the mob, she's not told anyone about what she's seen...and the mob keeps watching her.

At the same time, Erskine is investigating the man who is responsible for the killing...mob boss John Anthony Harris (Joseph Campanella). His plan is to ingratiate himself to the mobster's girlfriend (Jessica Walter)...but it's tough with the killer watching Erskine's every move. What's next?

All in all, a very good episode of the series. What I appreciate is that the show focuses on a mobster's personal life...how he has a respectable veneer and seems to compartmentalize evil. Campanella is excellent, as always...and the episode rather interesting. Plus, it was fun seeing Efrem Zimbalist and Travanti in the pool together!

*Like so many movies and TV shows, this teen is hardly a teen. Brooke Bundy was about 25 when they filmed this episode. And, often I've seen 30+ year-olds playing teens in older programs. There's another non-teen playing a teen, Harris' daughter. Cynthia Hull was 20-21...but actually did look about 13-15 and was cast MUCH better than Bundy.
