Well made, as you'd expect from "The F.B.I." but also not one of the more remarkable cases.

During its long run, Quinn Martin produced one of the best cop shows on TV at the time. This is because "The F. B. I." emphasized realism and Bureau procedures instead of insane and over-the-top villains. The only really unrealistic thing about the show is that each week, Inspector Erskine was on EVERY case!

"Death on Sunday" begins with some evildoer breaking into a pro quarterback's home to unnerve the wife. From the darkness, he whispers to her that he's going to kill the family...unless they pay! He then vanishes and the family does the smart thing and contacts the FBI even though the voice wanted them not to. The story consists of the Bureau tracking down suspects, solving the crime and, as usual, looking great in the process...since the show WAS being made with the cooperation of the FBI and the FBI wanted to look good!

This is well made and interesting...but also not exactly remarkable. Capturing the baddies did seem a bit easy but the story still satisfies.

By the way, towards the end they show footage of a supposed 'pro' football game. But if you look carefully, you can see that one team definitely is UCLA and the other appears to be USC...two college teams.
