The show begin with two friends fighting. After all, one is trying to commit arson and his friend is trying to stop him. In the scuffle, the guy trying to stop him is killed....and since this was on Indian land, Erskine is called to try to solve the crime. Unfortunately, a nearby mining company seems to be doing his best to keep the locals angry!
"The Young Warriors" is a good episode of "The F.B.I." but I have one reservation about the program. I am not a crazed politically correct individual, though I did think it was a shame that the episode is about the distrust of an Indian tribe for the government was a missed opportunity. While it was generally pretty sensitive towards the natives and their plight, ALL the major roles for the natives were played by non-native actors. Anthony Caruso, BarBara Luna and Scott Marlowe are all fine actors and did a good job here...but they were miscast and the plot would have seemed more realistic had they chosen actual American Indians to play the parts.
