Boma : I must say it was a great idea from Oscar to collect paperwork.
Pascale : Tell me about it. There are old gazettes all the way to our bedroom.
Boma : Shall the two of us read a gazette upstairs?
Bieke : Is that all you can think about? Really?
Carmen : You're obsessed.
Boma : Oh yeah? Did I ever lay a finger on you?
Carmen : No, not *a finger*.
[Carmen buttons up old newspapers, Boma's finger is stuck between them, at that moment an injured Oscar enters, carried by Pico and Xavier]
Bieke : Dad? What happened?
Pico : Your Dad showed us how to take a free kick.
Pascale : Oscar, did you have to make fun of yourself again?
Oscar : I just made a wrong move.
Carmen : I hope he makes less wrong moves at other times.
Boma : Now, exactly who's the obsessed one?
Carmen : I'll rub on tiger balm, Oscar. I always have that with me. It always works.
Oscar : No, I'm okay.
[he tries to get up but fails]
Carmen : [she pushes him on the table, lifts his shirt] Come on. My ointment doesn't bite. It just stinks a bit.
Bieke : Well, you're not a twenty-year old anymore, Dad.
Oscar : I'm still in great shape.
Pascale : You go backwards. For years that is.
Boma : You see, Pascale. No one man is like another.
[Oscar moans as Carmen gives him a massage and rubs tiger balm, it feels good Pascale looks stern]
Boma : Wouldn't you turn around, Oscar?
Pascale : Enough already! He's got lumbago and nothing else.
Carmen : Are you jealous? I thought I was doing the right thing.
Pascale : Touch your own husband then.
Carmen : He has absolutely nothing to complain about. Right, Xavier?
Xavier : *Absolutely* not.
Pascale : Oscar, take the paper to the courtyard.
Oscar : I can't with my aching back.
Pascale : Ask your masseuse for help.
Oscar : Pascaleke, begint nie.
-
Bieke : You got stuck between DDT's garage, right?
Oscar : Precisely.
Pascale : Oscar, you were bitten. I'd like to know by whom.
Oscar : By Gentil. I scared him and suddenly -
[he makes a biting sound, Pascale frowns]
Oscar : I told you he's a weirdo.
Pascale : What's going on here? That video. That Gentil. What more are you hiding from us?
Oscar : Pascaleke, begint nie.
Pascale : Oh I begin. I didn't know you ever played for the national team.
Oscar : The youth team, Pascale. It's the youth team. Besides, I broke with my past completely. I've chosen a new life.
Bieke : We could've lived in Italy. Or in Spain.
Oscar : I don't do well in the sun.
Pascale : Look at us now. We could've had a mansion along the Côte d'Azur. A sailboat and a luxury car.
Bieke : A handsome Italian for a boyfriend.
Oscar : I'm happy with what I have.
Pascale : Yeah, well I'm not. You could've given me the life I dreamed of but you screwed it all up. And don't be so childish.
[she leaves]
Oscar : There you go. I can't do anything right, can I? I'd better go upstairs, pack my bags, and leave.
Bieke : Come on, Dad. You know her. It'll blow over. I bet she'll be as proud as a peacock tomorrow when everyone sees you've been an international.
Oscar : [anxiously] I want to get out of here.
[he leaves with the bandage stuck to his arm]
