Kind of stinky. No wonder it never made it to series. But it had MacGyver in it, so there's that.

Warning: Spoilers
Tootie with Natalie go to visit Tootie's Aunt Sylvia and Brian, a white guy married to her, much to Natalie's surprise. This is a spinoff attempt episode.

There are barely any of the girls in the episode. Sylvia and Brian spend the entire episode arguing about moving for a new job in New York City. It's a huge career lift for her but Brian doesn't want to go the NYC because. That's it, just because. In the end, she capitulates and decides to stay with her man in Buffalo. To be fair Brian did offer to go in the end before she changed her mind.

Way to go Brian for torpedoing what was a great job opportunity for Sylvia. So much for the feminist movement of the times, given that Syliva caved and stayed in Buffalo. It's funny that no one mentions the money increase she would get. I mean in most marriages that would definitely factor in. Plus they didn't have children yet, so moving now and establishing themselves and getting settled would have been better. Their convo "on-air" was stupid.

These two weren't funny. They both over-acted. Loved Richard Dean Anderson in MacGyver, but here, not so much. I can see why it didn't make it to series. But kudos for having a mixed-race couple and trying to create a series with them as the leads back in 1981. Unfortunately, it was just so poorly executed with unfunny actors and a boring unfunny script. 3/10.
