Beamish tells Harry he needs to convince Nancy to use her house as head quarters for their army.
A very funny second episode, plenty of witty dialogue supplied by David Nobbs. It begins with a scene in the Beamish house as Harry has dinner there. He makes some hilarious unintentional and inappropriate remarks. He takes Nancy to dinner and in the funniest scene, he tells her about his army. It is similar dialogue previously spoken by the character Jimmy in The Fall And Rise Of Reginald Perrin, though it is still very funny to hear. Jimmy is pretty much the same character as Harry from that show also written by Nobbs.
Harry tries to indoctrinate two of his former soldiers from his army days. One Lt. Bagnail flatly refuses and Sgt. Major Throttle also says no since he wants to marry his girlfriend Doris. Harry calls him soft. This episode also has Harry and Nancy suddenly very attracted to each other.
