Footage from the scene in which Maxie performs in front of the other students at the end of the episode is used to illustrate Olivia Barash's credit during the opening titles, starting with the next episode until the end of the season.
In his 2010 book "Inside Fame on Television - A behind-the-Scenes History", Michael A. Hoey reveals that Olivia Barash had auditioned for a part on Fame at the start of the sixth season in LA, while at the same time Michael Cerveris and Elisa Heinsohn were selected from New York casting sessions. But Barash wasn't called back until after Nia Peeples left the show, opening a spot in the cast.
