Problems with parasites & A vision of Scorpius
Tweekums19 June 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Having bought new food supplies the crew learn that they might contain parasites... of the deadly variety. D'Argo and Chiana purchase a creature known as a vorc which apparently hunts the parasites; it does look rather small for the job though. One of them attacks D'Argo and leaves him poisoned. If they want to cure him they will have to extract a poison sample from a living parasite. As they search for it something odd is happening with Crichton... he keeps seeing Scorpius! It soon becomes apparent that the vorc isn't what it first appeared to be... perhaps it is the real danger! They examine the vorc closely but can find no sign of any venom once released again it heads to the cargo bay and attacks Rygel!

This was a decent episode; the scenes where they ran through the ship searching for the parasite while Pilot told them where it was had a slight feeling of 'Alien' about them... although they obviously weren't as frightening! The vorc was an interesting creature; I liked how it had two forms and like all Farscape creatures it was good that it was a puppet not CGI; the people who make the puppets do a great job making the viewer suspend their disbelief and accept them as living creatures. When we do finally learn the true nature of the parasite it came as quite a shock and was slightly disturbing. Crichton's visions of Scorpius didn't really go anywhere this episode but are a promise of interesting things to come.
