The naming of 'Saturday' is a nod to Daniel Defoe's 1719 novel 'Robinson Crusoe', where Robinson Crusoe names one of the other main characters 'Friday', after the day of the week that they meet.
The scene where Fred and Barney are with Saturday pretending to attack the tourist bus, they are shouting out nonsense words and at the end Barney says "Yankee go home"
