Sister Bertrille Makes a Friend
JordanThomasHall10 July 2018
Reverend Mother Placido takes her first day off in 20 years upon Dr. Tapia's (Don Diamond, "F Troop") urging. Sister Bertrille is taking her into San Juan to catch an ocean liner when their station wagon breaks down with a flat. While Sister Bertrille changes the tire she consents to promise that she won't tell anyone that she can fly while the reverend mother is gone. When they discover that it was their spare that had the flat they hitchhike to port. Sisters Bertrille and Jacqueline visit the children at the hospital. She is taken by one boy named Charlie Webster (Brian Nash) who habitually lies and visits him daily to give him the friend he needs. They share a love of flying, spending time outdoors with a kite. While holding the kite Sister Bertrille accidentally flies and she nervously explains how to Charlie. Now the boy is in trouble at the hospital for his fibs and Sister Bertrille isn't able to tell the truth. Sister Bertrille flies to ask the reverend mother for permission and flies over two stranded men (Dick Wilson and Dick Balduzzi) in a life raft who comically think they've made it to heaven. When Sister Bertrille finds her cornette is missing she rushes to Charlie before he endangers himself with it.

Dick Wilson and Dick Balduzzi provide some comedy to an otherwise dull script with a decent ending.
