Take Your Partners
Both Samuel and Pearl are aghast to learn that Sonny is in love and wants to get married.
The unlucky girl is Linda (singer Linda Lewis) and she has been engaged before. Her parents are coming around to see Samuel and Linda.
Samuel plans to give them a piece of his mind especially as Linda's father George owes him money. Only to find out that they also think the marriage is a bad idea. Sonny is too young and irresponsible.
So Sonny and Linda decide to elope. They get the cheapest ring they can find, about £4 from the jewellery salesman (Frank Williams) and plan to get married in Birmingham.
Only Linda meets an old face on the train journey.
The show manages to be funnier when they let Lenny Henry do the comedy. Some nice one liners from several members of the cast though.
