In the closing scene Niles is seen holding a rabbit ears for Martin who's giving him instructions about how it needs to be adjusted to get the best picture. But in at least one episode Frasier points out after seeing his father reading a racy book, that he now understands why their cable bill was so high. Response: Earlier in the episode, NIles accidentally destroyed Martin's cable dish with a kite, so the rabbit ears are only a temporary measure until Martin's cable is fixed.
Throughout the series it's well established that Martin's tastes are very low-brow and blue-collar. But the scenes in Martin's bedroom seem to contradict this. The room is full of designer furniture, modern artwork, an antique globe on his bookshelves, and lots of books. Even if the major furnishings are Frasier's, there is still nothing from Martin's world in evidence.
