Claire was the one for Frasier

This 2-parter is a 10-star for originality, writing, and acting...the scenes featuring the women in Frasier's life are amazing.... but the episode loses a few for having Frasier dump Claire, played by the talented Patricia Clarkson.

Claire was good for him, and she fit comfortably into the Crane family--even winning over a doubting Daphne, albeit a tad late.

I've watched the entire series a few times, and it's clear that she was the best and healthiest relationship he had--even better than Laura Linney at the end of the final season. A shame they didn't save Claire for last.

Some Funny Stuff

Frasier finally gets the gumption to let Claire go and head for Lana. Of course, Frasier's family adores Claire. What happens next takes place at Kirby's grad party. But a surprise guest comes and now things are really weird.

Don Juan in Hell: Part 1
studioAT8 November 2022
The eighth series of 'Frasier' wasn't very good. There were a handful of decent episodes, but certainly nothing that could be classed as a consistent run of form.

I was a bit apprehensive then going into the ninth year, but thankfully they seem to have turned a corner, with this being a much better outing.

Daphne and Niles are a bit more likable, and they had at least made some attempt to make the character of Lana a bit more like a worthy love interest for Frasier. I still think Claire was the better option, but I suppose they were wary of pairing him off for the sake of the show.

It's better overall.

For the first time...

Warning: Spoilers
For the first time, this is an episode of "Frasier" that dragged for me, that seemed to take a long time... I think because Frasier's peculiarities and hang ups -- his indecision and insecurity about a woman he is dating, and his irritation with his hotel room and meal choices -- seemed to be really irritating rather than funny... Still, redeemed somewhat by funny moments elsewhere in the episode.
