Gamble is convinced that retired governess Grace Miles is swindling a charity, a charity where the benefactor, has been dead for two years.

A wonderful change in pace once again, I underestimated just how good this second series has been, some areas have really developed quite a lot, the main one being the variety.

I loved the story, definitely original, to this day I've never seen a show with a storyline even remotely similar.

It's becoming a little repetitive having Sergeant Hicks in the wrong, and Gamble always right, it's such a pity that they didn't give her a moment to be smug and right.

I'm almost glad this was in black and white, I think it adds the right atmosphere for the story, somehow it reminds me of a film from the 1950's, it has that feel.

I'm not sure how this story would play out in 2022, the idea of the gentry falling on hard times, unable to buy hand made leather shoes etc, watching this at a time where people can't even heat their homes,

Best of all, the trio of elderly actresses, each of them absolutely fabulous, we of course have Patience Collier in the lead and she is marvellous, great actress, plus we have Fabia Drake as battleaxe Muriel, and the beautifully scatty Joyce Carey as June, wonderful trio.

I'd go so far as to say this second series is proving even better than the first, 8/10.
