- TriviaAnother idea for the name of the coffeehouse was "Java Joe's". This idea was later reused in this episode, when, on the picture of Nana and her own friends, Nana wrote, "Me and the gang at Java Joe's."
- GoofsWhen the gang is sitting around discussing if anyone thought that Chandler may have been gay, Rachel talks about meeting Chandler for the first time thinking he might be when she arrived and the series had started, but later on in the series on several occasions during flashbacks, Chandler and Ross both knew Rachel in high school and she and Chandler had actually kissed at a college party. Also, in this episode Joey claims that he didn't think Chandler was gay the first time they met, but in The One with the Flashback (1996), when Joey and Chandler meet, Joey says "Oh and I'm totally fine with it's the whole gay thing."
- Quotes
Rachel Green: [about Chandler being mistaken for being homosexual] When I first met you, I thought maybe, possibly, you might be.
Chandler Bing: You did?
Rachel Green: Yeah, but then you spent Phoebe's entire birthday party talking to my breasts, so then I figured mabye not.

Perry Again Steals The Show And "The Rachel" Makes It's Debut
Once again, it's Matthew Perry who is the star of an episode, he made it a hat trick of shows with the last episode and the trend of OK episodes raised to a higher level by Perry's portrayal of Chandler Bing continues.
Plot In A Paragraph: Chandler (Matthew Perry) is shocked to learn people have often thought him gay, when a college tries to set him up on a date with a male co-worker. Meanwhile Ross (David Schwimmer) and Monica (Courtney Cox) morn the loss of their Grandmother.
Elliot Gould returns as Jack Gellar and is as fun as the first time round,
"The Rachel", Jennifer Aniston's popular hairstyle, made its debut in this episode. The cut became very popular among fans, with many of them copying it. It has become Aniston's most iconic hairstyle.
These aren't great episodes, and Ross pining over Rachel is getting old already, but great performances from Perry in particular are lifting them up to a higher rating.
