Translations of the Dutch dialogue:
Woman (to Ross): Zeer vereerd een vriend van mijn moeder te ontmoeten. (I'm very honored to meet a friend of my mother's.)
Ross: Bedankt voor de koffie. (Thanks for the coffee.) Gunther: Jij spreekt Nederlands? Dat is te gek. Heb je familie daar? (You speak Dutch? That's cool. Do you have relatives there?) Gunther: Ezel. (Donkey or ass. Also slang for a dumb person.) Ross: You're an ezel! Gunther: Jij hebt seks met ezels. (You have sex with donkeys.)
Ross: Bloemen. (Flowers.)

At the end of the episode Ross says; And because I'm such a strong, strapping alleenstaande.
'Alleenstaande' is also Dutch, it means single.
In this episode, Phoebe blows off Ross for lunch without hesitation in order to go on a date, but in The One with All the Cheesecakes (2001) , a major plot point is that Phoebe believes this is very wrong and in fact she 'middle names' Joey for doing the same thing to her.
The book Eric is reading near the end of the episode is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
This episode was dedicated to the memory of Pearl Harmon.
