Chill Wills and Thelma Ritter team up for a journey with a new circus elephant for
the T&T circus.
The pachyderm that the circus had died and what's a circus without an elephant so Chill Wills takes a sabbatical and journeys to Hannibal, Missouri while the circus lays over in Bismarck, North Dakota. There's an elephant there that Wills can have.
But not until he pays the $1500.00 owed to livery stable owner Thelma Ritter and the elephant eats like an elephant. So she goes with Wills and the elephant now rechristened Hannibal They have some colorful adventures back to the circus.
I really loved this episode because two of the biggest scene-stealers in the history of cinema worked together in a larceny contest. Wills and Ritter's scenes are just priceless.
Too bad we didn't have more workk from this team.
