Here is an episode that works because of its philosophy on how to handle youngsters. Most episodes I either know myself or do not agree with. Here is one of intelligence.
Let's start with the subplot. The twins' hair are getting long and Joey recommends them to his uncle Jasper (also played by Coulier) who is a barber. Jesse isn't ready fro haircuts. You know how much he loves hair.
The most popular girls in Stephanie's class--The Jennifers--prompt her to want ear piercings. She is either 10 or 11, so it seems like an okay age. But Danny says it is okay once she reaches junior high like her big sister. She defies her father's orders and gets inexperienced Kimmy to do the piercings. Bad move. Now they are infected. When Danny finds out, Stephanie explains that she does. not want to be like DJ. They have a heart to heart and Danny says they will look at each situation and judge the outcome based on what is best for her. Wow. Talk about father of the year!
