Welcome Aunt Becky!
mitchrmp10 December 2013
And another cast member has officially joined the Full House cast this season. Rebecca Donaldson is only a supporting character, but by next season I believe she is in the credits. As you know, Rebecca is the future wife of Jesse. She is a wonderful character and definitely has a fun part to play! She meets Jesse and sparks automatically fly for Jesse. She is so different from what we've always seen Jesse date that it's a bit shocking to see the chemistry they have for each other.

On another note, D. J. and Kimmie's relationship intensifies and we'll see more of Kimmie this season. She's still a supporting character, but that too will change in future seasons. The episode defines the relationship the two girls have really well. Kimmie can be pretty mean sometimes, and D. J.'s hurt by her words often.

The Best of Friends Have the Worst Fights.

Warning: Spoilers
Every so often in Full House, there is an episode about the crumbling relationship between best friends DJ and Kimmy. This is the weakest one, but the strength of the others somehow enhance our appreciation for this.

Another key-point in this episode is the introduction of Rebecca Donaldson. Danny's talent as a sports anchor gets him transferred to to being the station's new morning talk-show host. His co-host is the wonderful Nebraska native named Rebecca (aka Becky) played by Lori Laughlin. The show is like Good Morning America or Live With Kelly and Michael. The girls need a mother figure. And she eventually wins Jesse's heart.

Back to the main premise. DJ hosts Kimmy's birthday party. Kimmy asks if she can bring her two older friends from karate class and DJ accepts. When they arrive, her friends try to throw an out-of-control party. That leaves Kimmy with an ultimatum of staying with her true friends or leaving with her older friends. She chooses the latter. That leads Kimmy to spread rumours about DJ. The rest of the family try to consolidate DJ and her view on friendship. This is the strength of the episode. Other friendship themes are explored in their future feuding episodes, but this is the basis and most common issue. They reconcile in a quick way that was evident that the writers needed and ending.
