This is supposed to be an episode about elderly mental health. It's a pretty important and sensitive subject. This episode tries to enlighten viewers and does, but does very little entertainment.
DJ volunteers at a nursing home and is paired up with Eddie Johnson. Board with the home, Eddie sneaks off with DJ home to see a dog show Stephanie and Michelle host for the block. When DJ is with Eddie, it isn't special. The dog show is boring too. Eddie has two spells at the Tanner house. DJ reminds Eddie of his daughter Gloria and his mind wanders to different times. He has Alzheimer's disease. Learning about the disease is really the only good in this.
The subplot aside from the dog show is Becky getting a sympathy pad for Jesse to experience pregnancy. This might have been funny at the time of its release, but is not now.
For a two second crash course in Alzheimer's disease, this is episode is adequate.
