Max and the Chief remark that Hubert's killer has made it appear to be a suicide. However, the killer is clearly seen shooting Hubert in the back from several feet away. It should be immediately obvious to anyone examining the scene that Hubert's death could not possibly have been self-inflicted.
Though the action takes place in Washington DC, the audience shots at the concert hall clearly show the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Coming in from Commercial, The Chief tells 99, "We Need Someone with a good Musical background" after the Control operative was murdered. While 99 says she has some singing and instrumental background, The Chief was best fit for the job. Albeit, The Chief should not be "in the field," viewers learn that he had a perfect bass baritone singing voice requiring say a Julliard School background. (hint-hint: Edward Platt) Still, The Chief never mentions this until "The Hot Line" (S: 3, Epi: 24) where a demoted Chief waiters and learns he must sing, too.
