There are the references to President Lyndon B. Johnson in the scene at Control HQ. First, the "hot line" to the White House is a phone in the shape of a cow horn (LBJ was a rancher). Second, in the same scene, after Sid becomes convinced he has indeed spoken with the president, his call to action is underscored with an instrumental rendition of 'The Eyes of Texas.' Third, Don Rickles (referring to the president) says "I haven't met him, but I've used his baby powder," referring to the brand Johnson & Johnson.
Per the title, the little black book is usually the address book of all a bachelor's girl friends.
James Komack, Director of this episode, played photographer "Uncle Norman" on MGM's "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" starring Bill Bixby and Brandon Cruz.
