Good script by Raynor and Wilder have Max and 99 infiltrate a biker gang named "The Purple Knights" (despite the fact NONE of them wear any purple) as bikers Wheels and Legs. The Knights are suspected of kidnapping the Prime Minister of Beluvia. Steve Allen appears as the prime minister's aide in the show opening. He's thrown out of a car and then refuses to answer any questions about his condition until he "clears it with his embassy".
All the bikers drive tiny little putt-putt motorcycles that would get them laughed out of any real biker gang, but the Knights' leader Brute (Michael Bell, who I understand was the original voice of the Parkay Margarine tub!) doesn't mind. Enraged by Doll Baby's (Sexy Susan Albert who had way too short a career!) attentions to the new guy, Brute challenges Wheels to a joust on motorcycles.
There's a lot of good gags in this, as well as reprises of some old favorites: "He asked me to get my knee off his chest", "I asked you not to tell me that.", and a "would you believe" that starts out with the entire place being surrounded by 100 highway patrolmen with Doberman Pinchers and works its way down to a boy scout with rabies. Barbara Feldon also gets to dance, which is always a highlight.
