- Candice Muir: Did you lose something?
- Martha Grant: Well, I'm not sure, but if you find any marbles around here, they're mine.
- Martha Grant: Whadda you mean you feel fine?
- Carolyn Muir: Hm? Well, I mean... I mean I never felt better.
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: [influencing Martha] She doesn't look fine. She looks ill.
- Martha Grant: Well, you don't look fine. You look ill.
- Carolyn Muir: That's not fair. I... I have too much work to be ill.
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: If she has a fever, she ought to be upstairs in bed.
- Martha Grant: You're running a temperature, Mrs. Muir. You should be upstairs in bed.
- Carolyn Muir: I don't have time for bed.
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: Be firm.
- Martha Grant: A little voice tells me to be firm. Now, you get upstairs to bed. I'm gonna call the doctor.
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: That pup is not a doctor! He's a charlatan, a quick! No, he's a peep!
- Carolyn Muir: "Peep?"
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: He's too young to be a quack.
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: And now that you're fully recovered, I trust that you'll forgive me.
- Carolyn Muir: I do, Captain. You know why?
- Capt. Daniel Gregg: Because I cured you.
- Carolyn Muir: No. Because you waltz so beautifully.
