Classic Stars Hollow

This episode is the quintessential Stars Hollow experience at it's quirkiest finest. All the townspeople get to play a part in the Bracebridge dinner and it is delightful. This is the town you've always wanted to live in.

One of the best!

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the best episodes of the show and is a fan favorite. This is basically a "towny" episode and we're all here for it.

The cold open is so great, Lorelai and Rory are building a snow woman for a competition and try to make her look like Bjork. There is another guy in the competition who has made a way over-done snowman. Lorelai and Rory are so confident that they might actually win until the head of their snow woman falls off. It's great.

Anyways, the show starts with an out of town paper company coming to the Inn to have a themed dinner. Lorelai and Sookie rope Jackson into playing "Squire Bracebridge" who is basically the host of the dinner. When the paper company gets snowed in, Lorelai and Sookie are heartbroken until they realize that they can still have the dinner for the townspeople of Stars Hollow. We have Luke & Jess, Dean & his sister, Taylor Doose, Lane & Mrs Kim, Bootsy, and more. We even get a surprise appearance of Paris, who stays for the dinner and of course we get to see Richard & Emily.

Jackson, Rune, and Kirk do a great job serving/entertaining the dinner, dressed up of course. Lorelai arranges for everyone to ride in horse drawn sleighs around the snowy town. Luke and Lorelai take a ride together and Rory and Jess end up taking a ride together. Rory shows Jess her snow woman and he automatically knows that it's supposed to look like Bjork. He asks her what she and Dean talk about, because to him, Dean is a dud.

Richard and Emily have a pleasant ride in the sleigh and you can see that Richards attitude has completely changed, he's really chipper and happy and it shows. It turns out, Richard has quit his job and entered early retirement. Emily is maaaaad. She and Richard finally make up and all is well in the world.

When everyone is leaving the Inn, Rory and Jess make googley eyes at each other and Dean notices.. ooops. We end the episode with the "good snowman" having his head cut off, haha. Wonder who could've done that?
