Loads of Fun!

The best "Gilmore Girls" episodes are always the ones featuring Stars Hollow celebrations. This time it's the town Dance-A-Thon. The set decor and costumes are particularly well-done. All the town characters and their idiosyncratic quirks are well-framed. Loads of fun with some nice twists and turns (pun intended).

One of the best

Warning: Spoilers
This is a fan favorite episode. Lorelai and Rory participate in Stars Hollows 24 hour dance-a-thon. They are determined to beat Kirk, who is reigning champ. Dean comes to watch and cheer on Rory. Jess shows up with Shane and sit right in front of where Rory and Lorelai are dancing. Finally, with just a little bit left to go, Dean breaks up with Rory. He's been in denial that there's anything going on between the two but he's done pretending. Rory is crushed. Jess comes to find Rory at the pond and they admit their feelings to each other. He tells her that he has to go break up with Shane and this is the beginning of Rory and Jess's relationship.

Meanwhile, we find out that Jackson wants 4 kids in 4 years and Sookie is baffled.

Also, Dave knows how to turn on the charm. He impresses Lanes mom in hopes that eventually she will approve of him and they will be able to date. Dave is the best.

One of the best Gilmore Girls episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
There's a sure improvement this season, after a couple of episodes. The drama is far more entertaining and relevant than previously. And in this episode in particular, it is paired with great comedic moments. And some enjoyable scenes, like Dean finally calling out Rory on her hypocrisy, and dumping her. And her mother losing over Kirk, which, regardless of his character being cringeworthy, was worth it to see Lorelai being a sore loser. Even Lane's new love interest, getting in Mrs. Kim's good graces, was strangely satisfying. Now someone here will probably have a major freak out, but Rory and Jess are so mismatched. Their flirting, way of trying to get each other jealous, was fine. But they just don't click as a couple like, in spite of writers dragging it to the ground, Dean and Rory did. The dance marathon is obviously the best part of the episode, but the buildup leading to it, was good too. And the whole chaotic atmosphere was fun. Plus it marked the departure of that annoying Shane...

24 Hour Dance Marathon

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode Lorlei convinces Rory to participate together in the annual 24 hour dance marathon. Towards the end of this episode Dean breaks up with Rory because she continually talks about Jess. In the end, Kirk wins the dance marathon as he usually has for the past few years. I personally thought this was one of the best episodes of Gilmore Girls because this is the end of Dean and Rory's relationship but it's the beginning of Jess and Rory's relationship. Also, in this episode Dave makes Lane's mom like him at little more by talking about going to church and being Christian and this makes Lane love him all the more.

Bye Dean

Warning: Spoilers
Dean, the nastiest character in the whole series, finally frees Rory of his nasty bullying personality (she was never going to do it because of the way he always mentally abused her by making everything seem like her fault). Plus a fun dancing story.
