Money

Warning: Spoilers
One thing doesn't make sense about this episode. They mention that they will receive the money after Baby dies. The man who drops Baby off says the money is to take care of Baby. Why would they have to wait until Baby is dead to get the money? That doesn't make sense since the money is for taking care of him.

Talk about greedy hogs!

Warning: Spoilers
When Rose's uncle dies, he leaves her ,, his "baby", the girls agree to help raise it together, unaware that it's a pig. They decide to keep it along with the $20,000 that goes with it. However, the aging sow becomes sick from missing the farm, and the ladies must decide whether to help it get well or give it up as well as the cash. This is a very funny episode, especially Rose's glare at Sophia for indicating the proper temperature of a pig. The pig plot is the bulk of the show, with a small percentage of the episode dealing with Sophia's loss of her glasses and the confusion that occurs as she tries to get along without them. Veteran actor Parley Baer guest stars as the uncle's attorney. This ends up being one of the most memorable episodes of the series.

Lots of laughs.

Roses wealthy Uncle Hingeblotter has left her $100,000 on proviso that she looks after baby, a 29 year old pig, the girls aren't keen, but a share of the funds helps.

First of all, Sophia had all of the best one liners, she really does steal the show in those rather stylish dark rimmed glasses. It's a crazy, funny watch, you have got to credit the writers, week in week out they managed to add real variety, this is another original, I can think of nothing remotely similar to this.

Several funny moments, Sophia thinking she's in the loo was funny, Sophia thinking the pig was Dorothy, a hilarious moment.

It's amazing what people will do for a bit of cash, poor Rose, so sweet and naive, she's living in a shark house.

7/10.

Hysterical

Warning: Spoilers
There's so many great laugh out loud lines in this episode. From Sophia losing her glasses and insulting Blanche on her weight thinking she's part of the couch, and then towards Dorothy thinking she's the pig when it wanders out onto the lanai. Then she takes aim at Rose when she asks what a normal temperature is for a pig. Sophia's reply is hilarious and so is the look on Rose's face afterwards.

Dorothy, Blanche and Sophia act like greedy pigs themselves hoping for the poor pig to drop dead quickly so they can get their money grubbing hands on $25k each. They even go out on a shopping spree in anticipation of the pig's demise. It's so terrible and so wrong, yet hysterical at the same time.

They of course wind up doing the right thing when their conscience gets the best of them and the final twist at the end is an ironic punch in the gut to the three ladies. It's a solid 10 stars for this gut busting episode.

Bringing Up Baby (#3.3)

Warning: Spoilers
Rose's uncle dies and leaves her a "baby", after initial confusion they find out that it is not a human baby but a pig Baby. Her uncle loved the pig and to guarantee his well being after his death gives the ones who take care of him $100000 after Baby's death. This is the only thing that makes them want to keep it. Only Baby gets sick and the vet says that it is homesickness, for selfish reasons they tell Rose to keep the pig anyways. But then they feel guilty and send the pig back. And then it dies within a few hours.

Can't say I liked this episode. Pigs are not filthy animals but very smart mammals who are indeed smarter than dogs. I can't like the characters who have so much hate for that pig. Even when they change their mind the well being of the animal never bothers them. And the end seems to show that pigs can't be homesick and that his well being is less important than money. Only Rose was sweet in this episode and the pig was a total cutie.

Ridiculous fantasy episode

Warning: Spoilers
I can't stand this episode. The script is terrible. It would have been better written as someone's dream because so many things about it are illogical, unbelievable, and lackluster compared to the other episodes prior. (And not to mention poorly produced: I mean ... the whole pig in Rose's bed scene??) The homesick pig bit wasn't the worst though; that honor goes to Sofia's lost glasses storyline. Not funny, and unoriginal.
