Ebbtide VI: The Wrath of Stan (#7.17)

Warning: Spoilers
Uncle Angelo comes to the house to complain about bugs. But Dorothy isn't there and Rose instead grabs the story and brings it to the news. She doesn't remember who his landlord is. but the news figures it out soon and Dorothy and Stan are called the "slumlords" in a top news story. They are arrested, go to court and are forced to live together in one of the apartments until the exterminator comes.

Fun story. Was weird that Rose didn't remember Dorothy was the landlord, she is not that dumb. Angelo was hilarious as usual, as he thought that Rose was into bugs. And the trial had lots of fun moments with the lawyers.

Warning: Spoilers
This is Rose's chance to pull a Charlene from "Designing Women", the episode where she reported Georgia for not showing up for jury duty and incited her wrath. Here, Rose as a TV news producer, reports the story of Uncle Angelo's building being infested by bugs which gets Dorothy and Stan arrested as slumlords. It's bad enough that Dorothy and Stan have to be in business together against her will, but being locked up in their own building for a whole weekend will be absolute torture for Dorothy. This has one of the funniest moments in the shows seven seasons with Blanche popping Sophia's balloon after she insults her. It's not just the popping of the balloon that's funny but Sophia's reaction to it. Blanche is upset from having had to take Sophia shoe shopping, a trip that would test the patience of a nun. "You've become in the revenge business what we call next!" Dorothy tells Rose, and she knows that they are dead me when the lawyers that Stan hired comes in, a dizzy young thing in a short skirt. Rule of thumb, never hire a lawyer tells you that they went to law school a whole bunch of places. Soap star Lane Davies is very funny as the very tough D. A. Great moments, but it's always tough to see Dorothy getting the shaft when she's completely innocent.
