Laura Cabot (Jane Powell) is being plagued by anonymous letters that her husband is going to die and the day he will die.
However her husband died about a year ago. The letters keep on coming and she goes to her attorney.
It might be a crank but one night Laura sees a vision of what looks like the shape of a woman outside her home.
Later a body is found in an accident and it is Laura's husband.
A psychological thriller might have worked better if somehow Laura was involved in her husband's death.
Instead we end up with an unhinged woman giving a confession as she threatens Laura.
