"Shotgun Wedding: Part 1" was the first part of a two-part episode from "Happy Days", where the second part was actually created as an episode on "Laverne and Shirley", hence creating an odd sort of disjointedness with both shows sharing one story line. A pretty pointless story line it is too, one has to admit - this was one of those episodes that made me realize they really were running out of material in those later seasons, to produce something this ridiculous. After the thing ended, I just kind of didn't get the point - none of the plot went anywhere and while I suppose the second episode would have made it seem more worthwhile, the fact that they could actually milk this idea for two episodes is unbelievable. I personally thought it was fairly fun for what it is, but certainly not quality in the long run - good thing the episodes following it were much more creative and interesting.
In "Shotgun Wedding", the Cunninghams take a short vacation to a lake where Richie and the Fonz find the opportunity to slip away and visit a couple of pretty girls at a farm, wearing a cow suit of all things to get in without their father (and his shotgun) seeing them. Unfortunately, they end up suffering a few injuries, so that Laverne and Shirley show up, and from there it's really just a lot of physical humor. They get their girls in the end, but are nearly forced to marry them by the father, and barely get away. Kind of lacking in plot and ridiculous overall, but heck, it's funny for what it is, even if it may not be quality stuff.
