A boxer called Kid Calico whom McCormick knows because they were jailbirds, is training for the Olympics. But a criminal is pressuring him to turn pro which would make him ineligible for the Olympics. So along with Hardcastle they try to help him. However, things get awry when Kid Calico is told to throw a fight in order to keep his kidnapped father alive.
