After breaking into the official records, Mark identifies his long-lost biological father as a lounge singer in Atlantic City and goes to see him. But the man turns out to be sought by a mobster who kidnaps Mark to force him to steal some incriminating tapes from a government safe.
McCormick learns that his father is a caberat singer warbling Frank Sinatra tunes. Steve Lawrence does a job in the role- great singer but a lousy father. In a way the subject of a son finding lost father is realistically done as both sides aren't always on the enthusiastic to meet. Well, the father isn't. There's some fine gags, good car chases , but nothing too standout.
