Hardcastle inherits a Thoroughbred racehorse from an old acquaintance and has big plans for it, though Hardcastle and McCormick weren't impressed with the horse as it had short legs, but a female groomer says that it's a winner if she rides it. They decide to test it on a racecourse. Unfortunately, they find out horse racing isn't always a safe bet. Turns out there is a high roller in a local race that needs some certain horses to win, and the judge's horse is not one of them. Also, McCormick gets beat up a few times.
Another concoction of liveliness added with some horsing around - the plot is loaded, has a few twists and dilemmas for our heroes to overcome. Rousing car chase at the end. Peter Maclean plays the main villain. The kind of role he can do in his sleep.
