My summary cuts to the biggest problem I saw with this show. Several folks who were supposed to be residents in a juvenile treatment program appeared at least 25--and perhaps even into their 30s! This just made me laugh--though the rest of the show was pretty good.
The show begins with a gold robbery in which a guard is shot with his own gun. The two crooks make a getaway and drop the money in a cabinet--and it's almost immediately picked up and taken by boat to a secret headquarters. Because the shooting victim survived and could tell Five-O about the vehicle the two guys drove, the police have an idea that the criminals were from a local juvenile treatment facility. So, they send an undercover 'hip' cop (who looks all of 30) to pose as a new resident--and investigate who might have committed the crimes AND the mastermind. In the end, it all comes down to a showdown between good and evil...guess who wins! Overall, an interesting show despite dumb casting decisions. Worth seeing.
