At the time that this episode was filmed, Connie Stevens was under a one month suspension by Warner Bros. for taking an unauthorized trip to Australia. To fill in for Cricket Blake, actress Kathy Bennett made her one and only appearance as Cricket's cousin Junebug Blake.
This was the last of eight episodes in which Karyn Kupcinet played small roles. The daughter of famed columnist Irv Kupcinet, she was found murdered a year-and-a-half later; the case remains unsolved.
The title of this episode is drawn from Greek mythology. The river Lethe was said to flow through the underworld, and drinking its water would cause complete forgetfulness.
