Robert Sparr did an excellent job directing this adventure, and with Jack Cassidy in the mix.
David Macklin plays 16 year old concert pianist Jimmy Harrington, who comes to Hawaii for a special show and with lots of problems. He hires on Greg more for protection, wishing to be alone --and could it be his step father, Maurice (Cassidy) whose cramping his style? Do the math!
Jimmy also gets some help from Cricket, who kind of takes a liking to him, which only complicates matters. Faith Domergue, as Rosa, plays Jimmy's piano teacher, with connections to Maurice. And the story takes off from there... Domergue, a staple in sci fi films at the time, has a very good role here. KT Stevens plays Jimmy's mother, Claire.
Jack Cassidy will definitely not disappoint fans, and one smooth villain you love to hate. This was the type of role he would major in for years to come. Macklin is also very convincing, who got his start in bit roles in two classics, THE APARTMENT and FROM THE TERRACE. He listed his hobbies as golf and bowling, not piano playing! Look for cult actress Tura Santana in a small part as a receptionist, who in a few years would gain fame in FASTER PUSSYCAT, KILL, KILL! (1965).
