THE PEARLS OF DEATH!
tcchelsey18 March 2024
Excellent cast, writing, directing and a friendly warning in this strange tale... Beware of those bringing gifts!

Susan Silo plays a struggling waitress called Shannon Malloy whose life is completely changed when she receives a fortune in pearls? The pearls naturally have some strings attached, requiring urgent help from Tom and Troy. Robert Conrad is in shape for this adventure, replete with some unexpected twists. Very good writing on the part of Robert Hamner, who created SWAT in the 70s.

So just who sent the pearls?

Two memorable guest stars; Virginia Gregg (best known for DRAGNET) plays Mavis and veteran actor Thomas E. Jackson plays Father Malloy, in a fine performance. Jackson, at the time, was one of the oldest working actors in Hollywood, best known for playing detectives in classic Warner Brothers films in the 30s. He retired at the age of 80 in 1966.

Directed by Irving Moore, who headed numerous cop shows for decades. Susan Silo, by the way, is still working today as a popular voice actor, more recently heard on CURIOUS GEORGE.

Don't miss Cricket singing "Fascinating Rhythm," and love her hair doo.

10 Stars for a super mystery. SEASON 4 EPISODE 11 remastered/WB.
