RELAX... IT'S ONLY A PREDICTION!

Whether Fred Eggers' story was inspired by recent events, who knows... but it made for an interesting take on Hawaiian geography, no less.

A con man is making the rounds, claiming he can sense a volcanic eruption is about to happen. There's money in it for him, while everyone else loses. Tracy (Anthony Eisley) is hired to find out how low this guy can go.

This episode boasts some fine acting from veteran Jerome Cowan (as Breckenbridge) and Marie Windsor (playing Marsha Metcalf). Marie is fun to watch as the curious lady with the big bucks! Connie Stevens gets to sing and Poncie Ponce (Kim) around this time released his second record album, featuring his prize ukulele. Billboard rated his LP Three Stars. Not bad.

Good supporting cast with Gale Page playing Dame Alfreda. Gale appeared for many years on Robert Montgomery's tv show.

Fred Eggers turned into a solid script, who wrote many episodes for LINEUP, including the film version of the tv show.

To note, for all us historians. There was, in fact, an actual eruption in Hawaii a few years before this episode, the famous Kilauea Volcano in 1959. The lava flows were so spectacular they were filmed and used in countless movie and tv productions.

From SEASON 3 EPISODE 10 Warner Bros. Remastered dvd box set.
