Beware!
Spooky little story, not exactly TEN LITTLE INDIANS, but close enough with a killer on the loose in a mysterious house. This is a rare type storyline for the series, and played surprisingly well. Greg is in charge and has the luck to be stranded during a storm with a bunch of guests in a mansion belonging to an elderly woman (played by Hope Sansberry).
There's a murderer among the guests --and just who is it. Basically an old fashioned mystery with all the frills and chills, and not a soul to be trusted. Can you guess who the fiend is before midway?
Good support from Antoinette Bower, in an early role, playing Susan and Nancy Kulp (pre BEVERLY HILLBILLIES) as Edie. Kulp, before getting into comedy material, played some fine dramatic roles in her long career. Veteran actress Isobel Elsom plays Eunice. Phillip Terry plays George. Terry became a cult film star, later in his career, in such campy films as THE LEECH WOMAN.
If you're a sitcom buff, you'll remember Hope Sansberry from the PHIL SILVERS SHOW, playing Nell. Her last tv appearance was on an episode of BATMAN.
All that LOUD thunder and rain is credited to sound tech Francis Stahl, later connected with two iconic films, BONNIE AND CLYDE and THE ILLLUSTRATED MAN.
A really good script turned in by Sonya Roberts, who also wrote for 77 SUNSET STRIP. Roberts later became head writer for PEYTON PLACE in the 60s.
From SEASON 3 Warner Brothers remastered.
