Hazell is hired by private detective Neville Fitch, on behalf of his client Anne McGeegan, to see if her drunken, wayward Irish husband is guilty of having an affair.
It's been some time since I last saw series one, but I remember enjoying it, even if it was a fairly sober, straight laced series.
Series two kicks off with a pretty good opener, there have definitely been a few changes, this episode has a slightly more slick feel, definitely a more thoughtful, considered production.
The story itself is an interesting one, it's almost as though the role of husband and wife were switched for what would have been the norm at the time.
I really did enjoy Clive Swift's presence here as Fitch, he was an interesting guy, definitely a man close to the edge.
Solid, 7/10.
