Hazell is approached by a desperate man, Mr Byers, who employs him to track down his wife Helen.
It's not the best episode from series two, but it's still a good watch, with an interesting plot, and a pretty unexpected shift up, that moment where Hazell realises that Byers isn't quite all he seems to be is pretty good.
Even the rough and ready Hazell is freaked out by Byers, he's one creepy and persistence guy, even following The Private eye into a sauna, he's one of the show's more memorable villains.
Two very good guest performances here I thought, Anna Massey was excellent as the slightly aloof, but frightened Helen, and Ronald Lacey was great as the creepy and sinister Byers.
One thing though, what an awful way to treat such a beautiful motorcar, I bet Lacey had some fun doing that.....didn't Hazell change his car for a Jaguar in the hotel episode? I'm a little confused by the order of things.
7/10.
