Craig borrows a candelabra from Liberace for a scavenger hunt, but Lucy thinks it was taken without permission and aims to return it.
HERE'S LUCY is full of plot implausabilities but did celebrities have such lax home security even back in the late 60s/early 70s and welcome strangers into their homes without screening them first? The same thing with Liberace just handing over a personal effect no questions asked.
The whole plot is so convoluted it hampers the enjoyment. It also turns into a musical episode in the last act where Lucy and Harry sing "By the Light of the Silvery Room" and Liberace and Kim duet on "I'll Be Seeing You" with Craig backing them up on the drums.
The only funny moment is when Harry insists on trying on one of Liberace's jackets and primps about. It reminded me of the LUCY SHOW episode where Mooney/Gale Gordon modeled her leopard coat to burlesque music and struck the same pose.
Paul Winchell is back again, this time appearing as Liberace's tailor, who has designed a fancy glow-in-the-dark blazer that we get to see (although is looks like a Lite-Brite insert shot).
In THE LUCY BOOK, Desi Jr remarked on how he tried on the jacket while Liberace fondled the lapel telling him how handsome he was. I kept watching for that part in this episode, but it never happened. So I guess that was a real-life anecdote, which makes it even funnier.
