Lucy takes in a sweet old lady in need of accommodation, who turns out to be a scam artist who ropes Harry into a bogus real estate deal.
Helen Hayes is fine as the eccentric and cheery Mrs. Brady, but the script is the typical nonsense from this weak middle era of HERE'S LUCY.
Since Hayes' character is into the occult, we have a seance scene where Harry and Lucy dress as Napoleon and Josephine, but it's lacks logic and isn't very funny. Harry mentions early on Hayes may be an axe murderess. Though not an entirely original idea, that may have been a better way to go. Oh well...
The best part is the early office scene where there are some funny lines about Lucy's hair.
MRS BRADY: "Is that a wig? I never saw a wig that color" LUCY: "I said the hair was mine, not the color"
Not one of the worst, but not very good either.
